Summary: Traveled to the Art School side of the campus and did reconnaissance for a shoulder beatdown on Saturday.

Dynamic Stretch Warm Up (Note: Amphibious count was a 10 count of both sides equaling 20 movements, double count)  Gate (10 open, 10 closed)  Swing (10 Forward, 10 Backward)  Knee Bend (10 High Knees, 10 Butt Kicks)   

 THANG 

General Instructions 

  • 2 bricks per person 
  • water bottles in backpack 
  • head to recon checkpoint 

Exercises

Stops on the way to the checkpoint 

  • Other side of street after light – thrusters 
  • Median triangle in street – big boy situps 
  • Art School stairs – windmills 

Stairs 

1st level – lateral arm raises
2nd level – flutter kicks and forward arm raises
3rd level – squats
4th level (top) -Tommy John shoulder exercise (45-degree arm raises with back bent at 45 degrees and arms out at 45 degrees with pinkies pointing at 45 degrees) 

Other 

  • Sculpture – pant raises10 right arm, 10 left arm, 10 both arms (legs slightly bent and pulling up pants from the side from just above the knee to the waste) 
  • Top of stairs (level 4) – frogmen sit-ups 
  •  Back to check pint at the bottom of the stairs
    pickup garb and water bottles 
  • lunge up the stairs 
  • go the other way back to triangle median – manmakers 
  • mosey to stoplight – rest 
  • mosey back to start 

COT  

Reconnaissance Discussion –  

  • Bricks worked 
  • The general pace was good 
  • Can skip warmup to warm up on the way to get more time in motion 
  • Add another stop at the bus station – Mosey about 125 yards 
  • We liked the exercises we did 
  • Might add star jumps  
  • Bricks worked the forearms 
  • We didn’t do side straddle hops because they seemed too much overhead with the bricks
